VOYAGES
AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM

2:30 - 5:00 p.m. Every Wednesday from September to March

Registration for the 2012-2013 school year is in August.  (Date to be announced.)

Liz Wieting, Voyages Director, invites all parents of children starting Kindergarten through 4th grade to prayerfully consider registering their son or daughter.  Please also consider the children of friends or neighbors.  Scholarships are sometimes available.

What happens at Voyages? 

Here's a brief look at the 2011-2012 year:

• After learning about the Baby Moses, we ventured to Foster Park and found our own "baby Moses" by the river.
• Field trips to the Apple Orchard.
• Music with Mr. Dougan.
• Learning about  Samson, the kids worked their muscles at the Dale Howard Center.
• After a study of the Escape to Egypt and Jesus' healig of the official's son, the kids raked leaves at the parsonage and sang for the residents at Scenic Manor.
• Christmas caroling
• A study of the prodigal son led to a "word hunt" and puzzle-piecing.
• The kids "tied" fleece blankets; packaged them with Bible verses, the Voyages name and childrens' signatures; and donated them to Ellsworth Hospital as gifts for newborns.
• More musical voyages to Scenic Manor and Heritage Care Center.  The residents always ask us to return... soon!
  

ADULT BIBLE STUDY

Sunday Morning Adult Bible Class - 8:45 a.m. with Pastor Beisel.  Topics have included:

• The Lord's Supper
• Revelation
• What Lutherans Believe & Why
• Genesis

Christianity 101 -- A class led by Pastor Beisel for new members and all members who want to better understand and defend basic Christianity -- Sundays at 7:00 p.m. (Be sure to check the bulletin or church calendar as the class does not run all year long.)

Sunday Evening Study -- 1st & 3rd Sundays -- 6:30 p.m. at church

Tuesday A.M. Study -- 9:00 a.m. at the church

Early Riser's Study -- 7:45 a.m. on Wednesdays at McDonalds

Body & Soul -- 8:00 a.m. MWF at the church

Men's Study -- 6:30 a.m. every other Thursday at the church

Joy Book Study -- 1:00 p.m. on the 2nd & 4th Thursdays at the church

Lenten Bible Studies -- Every Lenten Season, a variety of Bible studies are led in the homes of members.  These might include topical studies or DVD series with study guides.  To learn what these studies are, please consult the bulletin and The Link newsletter.
